Dr. Emre Kıymık pointed out that the two regulations published on October 6, 2022 and January 7, 2023 hit freelance physicians and said, “These regulations left freelance physicians unable to perform surgery. At this point, we ask our government to provide convenience to freelance physicians.”

Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Specialist Opr. Dr. Emre Kıymık made a statement regarding the Ministry of Health's regulation dated October 6, 2022 and January 7, 2023, which 'restricts the working procedures of independent physicians with private hospitals'. Stating that this situation caused hospital difficulties especially for plastic surgeons at the point of performing surgery, Dr. Kıymık said, “I would like to talk about the changes after the two regulations published on October 6, 2022 and January 7, 2023. These 2 regulations had a blow effect on free medicine. At this point, many freelance physicians were unable to perform surgery. In these regulations, private hospitals were required to have a full-time physician staff. In places that could not meet this condition, surgery became impossible. Therefore, the right to practice freelance medicine started to be taken away from physicians. People who want to be a freelance physician in the future have been prevented from doing so. This would be an even bigger problem especially for our plastic surgery branch. Since the number of private hospital staff of the plastic surgery branch is very limited, there is a difficulty in a hospital that can perform surgery at this point. These cases are being seen this November. At this point, I appeal to our state. We wish to provide convenience to physicians at the point of work,” he said.
