“Common symptoms seen in students with attention deficit”

Stating that students with attention deficit may have difficulty focusing for a long time during class, Psk. “Especially in courses that require long readings or detailed explanations, success may decrease. There may also be difficulties in skills such as planning, time management and sequencing tasks. This can make it difficult to complete assignments on time and prepare for exams effectively.”

“They may not be able to complete the questions on time”
Stating that students with attention deficit may process information more slowly than other students, Psk. “This can lead to problems such as not being able to complete questions on time in exams or not being able to follow the subjects while the teacher is lecturing. These symptoms can lead to a decrease in academic success and a decrease in the student's motivation.”
“Suggestions to minimize the symptoms of attention deficit”
Psk. Özcan made the following suggestions to minimize attention deficit symptoms:
“Limit screen use: Staying in front of the screen for a long time can increase attention deficit. Pay attention to nutrition and sleep patterns: A balanced diet and adequate sleep can reduce focusing problems. Establish routines: Daily routines make it easier for children to accomplish tasks. Set short work periods: Short and productive work periods can reduce distraction. Make time for physical activities: Sports and physical activities help direct energy in the right direction. Divide tasks into small parts: Big tasks become more manageable when they are divided into small parts.”
Psk. Özcan concluded his statements by saying, “If your child's attention deficit is negatively affecting his/her daily life and academic success, it is important to get the necessary tests and professional support for the four main symptoms of this condition: attention deficit, timing problems, impulsivity and hyperactivity.”
