Expert Dietician Rengin Özbay noted that dried fruits are a good snack alternative.
Stating that dried fruits prepared by evaporating the water of the fruits collected on time and while the product is abundant are rich in fiber and facilitate digestion, Özbay underlined that dried fruits are also an indispensable snack alternative for dieters.
Özbay said, “Drying is one of the oldest methods used to preserve food. Dried fruits are obtained by reducing the 90 percent of water contained in fresh fruit to 10-20 percent.
