Gynecology and Perinatology Specialist Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Obut warned expectant mothers with risky pregnancies and explained the precautions that can be taken about perinatology disease.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Obut, who works at Memorial Diyarbakır Hospital, said that perinatology is a branch of science that deals with mother and baby health in the first four months after birth and birth. Stating that perinatologists are doctors who have received higher specialization in the branch that prioritizes maternal and infant health for three more years on standard obstetrics education, Obuz stated that what should be paid attention to for maternal and infant health during pregnancy, expectant mothers with risky pregnancies are evaluated according to which risk they pose and should be advised accordingly, and that a standard recommendation is not valid for all pregnant women, and that each discomfort has different methods in itself.
Noting that all pregnant women should be evaluated by a perinatologist at least once, Obut said, “I recommend that all situations that pose a risk such as pregnancies over the age of 35 or under the age of 18, pregnancies that have had a bad experience in a previous pregnancy, consanguineous marriages, abnormalities detected in the baby during pregnancy should be evaluated and controlled by a perinatologist. Of course, these are important and important situations for the health of the baby and mother during pregnancy.”
