Family Health Centers in Erzurum continue to provide preventive and preventive health services as well as counseling services to citizens. While 26 of the 65 Family and Health Centers in the city serve in the central districts, 39 Family Health Centers continue their activities in other districts.
Dr. Osman Edip Somonoğlu Family Health Center, which provides citizen-oriented health services and serves in Yakutiye District, has served 50 thousand citizens in the last 6 months.
Family Physician Dr. Ahmet İzzetgil stated in his statement that they concentrate on preventive and preventive services and stated that they serve approximately 250 citizens daily.
Stating that their aim is to provide the best health service to the citizens, İzzetgil said: “As Doctor Osman Edip Somunoğlu Family Health Center, we serve as class A with 7 family physicians, 5 midwives, 3 auxiliary health personnel and 2 servants. 250 patients are examined daily in our center. In addition, diabetes screening, hypertension screening, obesity, cancer screening, cardiovascular follow-up procedures are carried out for our citizens registered with family medicine. Again, maternal, infant and child health vaccination control and health education services are provided. We work in coordination with the Cancer Early Diagnosis, Screening and Education Center (KETEM) and the Provincial Directorate of Health on the problems of our citizens in the field of colon cancer and breast cancer. In the last six months, we have served approximately 50 thousand patients. Family physicians do not only treat their patients, they try to protect them before they get sick. For this purpose, we provide services such as vaccination, counseling for lifestyle changes, infant and child follow-up, pregnancy follow-up, and family planning within the scope of personalized preventive services.
Citizens who receive services from the Family Health Center expressed their satisfaction with health services and stated that health workers produce solutions for all kinds of health problems with a quality service understanding.
