Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Water and Sewerage Administration (MUSKİ) General Directorate teams are eliminating the water problems experienced throughout the province one by one. Lastly, the teams working in Yatağan provided additional water to the Mesken Neighborhood, filling the tanks and providing uninterrupted water to the citizens.
The neighborhood was receiving water alternately for 1 day each
MUSKİ teams, who started to work on the water shortage in Mesken Neighborhood and started to give water alternately, made an investigation in the drinking water sources in the region. After the investigation, it was seen that the water sources were not at a sufficient level and blockages occurred at some points. For this reason, cleaning and revision works were carried out in the capacities that allow the water to be collected and transferred to the drinking water tank. In addition, blocked points were opened and water was brought to the capacities. In addition, spring waters at different points were collected at a point and transferred to Mesken neighborhood. In addition, a package treatment plant was built in the region and the drinking water was transferred to the region in a healthy way. With all these works, the level of the drinking water reservoir has reached one hundred percent and serves with full capacity. Thus, an important problem of the citizens was eliminated by providing healthy and uninterrupted water to the neighborhood.

Emphasizing that the water coming to their neighborhood is insufficient due to the decrease in water resources, Mesken Neighborhood Headman Şenol Özdemir said, “We did not have water problems in our neighborhood before. However, our spring water has decreased. We had a borehole and the water here was insufficient. We did a second borehole study, but we could not use it because our electricity subscription was not connected. After that, we conveyed our problem to MUSKI. As a result of the studies, we found the water. Now our water is sufficient and our tank is full. Our citizens are very satisfied. For this reason, I would like to thank especially Ahmet Mayor, MUSKİ General Manager and all the teams who contributed. Our contact with the Metropolitan Municipality is very good. As soon as I call, I immediately find an interlocutor and reach the solution of my problem. We already receive a large part of our services from the metropolitan municipality.”
Yaşar Genek, a villager of Mesken, said, “I am satisfied with the work of the metropolitan municipality so far. Before the metropolitan municipality was established, we had many problems. Excavations were made for days. When we became metropolitan, everything returned to normal. At the moment, our problem with water has disappeared, so we are satisfied.”
