Prof. Dr. Ayşin Kılınç Toker spoke about hand, foot and mouth diseases seen especially in primary school and preschool children. Noting that the disease is transmitted by contact in schools, Toker said, “In this period, the disease, which we call hand, foot and mouth disease and is transmitted by a virus, is very common in children under the age of 10. This covers the nursery and primary school period. This disease can be transmitted by contact with sores on the hands and mouth, as well as by the release of sores in the mouth through sneezing, sneezing, close contact and talking. Especially painful sores in the mouth can cause difficulty swallowing. On the soles of the hands and feet, small painful sores that collect water can form. Our children with these sores can infect each other with the contacts they make while playing with tables, desks, toys, pencils and common games in the classroom.”
Toker added that children infected with the disease have high fever and weakness.
