“The operation takes 1-1.5 hours on average”
Pointing out that the operation takes an average of 1-1.5 hours depending on the size of the prostate gland with the HOLEP method, Op. Dr. Yavuz said, “On the 2nd day after the operation, the patient's catheter is removed and he is expected to urinate spontaneously. If there is no problem, the patient's discharge is planned.”
“More beneficial in terms of sexual functions in the long term”
Stating that the laser energy used in the HOLEP method prevents damage to the nerves going to the penis, Op. Dr. Yavuz said, “When patients operated with this method are compared with other methods in terms of sexual function (erectile dysfunction), there are studies showing that the HOLEP method is more beneficial in the long term.”
