Robotic knee replacement surgeries based on the use of the latest technology and artificial intelligence have started to be performed at Gazi University Hospital for the first time among state universities and public hospitals.
Providing information on the subject, hospital officials reported that as the Orthopedics Department, they started robotic knee replacement surgeries using advanced technology. Robotic surgery and artificial intelligence minimize the margin of error in knee replacement surgeries. The main advantages of robotic knee replacement surgeries are that patients feel less pain, the healing process is shortened and the natural joint feeling is preserved. In addition, thanks to this technology, soft tissues are less damaged during surgery, allowing patients to have a more comfortable postoperative period. Hospital officials stated that the intensive patient service provided by the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology will become even better quality with the use of robotic technology and artificial intelligence.
