Nutrition and Diet Specialist: “There is no standard diet program that fits everyone”

Nutrition and Diet Specialist Çisem Gündüz pointed out that everyone's body, cultural habits, favorite foods and diseases are different, and said that diet programs should be personalized and that there is no standard diet program that fits everyone.

Pointing out that new diet methods and new nutrition trends are emerging every day in the field of weight loss and healthy living, Acıbadem Adana Hospital Nutrition and Diet Specialist Çisem Gündüz said, “I am not even talking about the masses following popular diet trends such as intermittent fasting, ketogenic diet, vegetarian diet, high protein diets. Emphasizing the importance of diet programs being personalized, Gündüz explained the benefits of dietitians analyzing the person well, discussing daily living habits and meal times, explaining the micro and macro nutrients that should be taken daily, and determining satiety levels by avoiding restrictive diets. He said that the success rate of diets specially prepared for individuals will be higher, taking into account the working environment of individuals, existing diseases, medications or supplements used.
