Dr. Zekeriya Büyükdereli warned earthquake victims before the upcoming winter season and said, “We are in the earthquake zone, I think we will have a healthier winter if we pay attention to hygiene and insulation.”
Kahramanmaraş Private Sular Akademi Hospital Pediatrician Büyükdereli gave warnings before the winter season. Stating that those living in the earthquake zone should stay away from closed environments, Dr. Büyükdereli emphasized hygiene, isolation and abundant vitamin consumption against diseases.
Dr. Büyükdereli said, “This year, with the arrival of autumn, there has been an increase in upper respiratory tract and lung diseases. Especially with the opening of schools, the increase in life in closed environments and the temperatures below seasonal norms, the proliferation of germs and the rate of transmission from person to person increases. This happens every year and this year is no different. We will pay attention to hand hygiene, the use of masks and protection of sick individuals in the form of staying away from closed areas. We will continue our lives with vitamin C and intensive nutrition. If possible, those who live in places like containers should make an effort to stay in a slightly more isolated and other areas. We are in an earthquake zone and I think we will have a healthier winter if we pay more attention to hygiene and isolation.”
