In Bolu Izzet Baysal State Hospital Köroğlu Unit, Disabled Dental Treatment Center was opened in the outpatient clinics section in recent months. The new clinic aims to lighten the burden of Bolu Provincial Health Directorate İzzet Baysal Oral and Dental Health Center and minimize the costs of patients seeking care outside the province. Köroğlu Unit, which provides direct appointment service to patients, will enable special individuals to achieve oral health with the new clinic.

Stating that they aim to minimize the financial and moral expenses of families, Dentist Nilgün Doğangün Geçici said, “It was opened to provide oral health treatment to our patients with mental, physical disabilities, bedridden, speech problems, and mouth opening problems. Thus, our disabled individuals will be able to access oral health services more easily and we will prevent them from going to centers outside the province. The material and moral victimization of the family by going out of the province will be eliminated.”

Talking about which procedures are performed in the clinic, Dentist Geçici said, “We perform dental treatments together with our anesthesiologists in our bedridden patients who have mouth opening problems. Then we cooperate with our general anesthesiologists about their general health conditions and make treatment planning after evaluating whether anesthesia is appropriate.
