Finally, Ebru T., who applied to a private hospital in Nevşehir with the complaint of sudden paralysis in the left arm and leg after giving birth at the age of 24, was diagnosed with vascular occlusion in the MRI examination. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Doğan; “In our fully equipped center with 6 beds, which was newly established within our hospital and registered by our ministry, Dr. Lecturer. Prof. Dr. Halil İbrahim Akçay intervenes in cases coming from neighboring provinces as well as our province. Our team working on a 24/7 basis in the center tries to keep patients at risk of death due to stroke due to blockage in the brain vessels alive by racing against time. With endovascular treatment (angiography method) and intravenous clot dissolving methods applied in large vessel blockages in our center, we have saved a total of 47 patients, 40 in our province and 7 outside the province, from being disabled in 7 months. I would like to thank all our health personnel, especially our physician working in our center.”

Apart from this, we apply all the treatments that can be done at world standards to our stroke patients who apply in the acute period and try to save lives. In particular, we treat patients who apply in the first 6 hours and have vascular occlusion in the brain with angiographic methods we call 'endovascular treatment', we open the blocked vessels and restore their health. Today, stroke is a treatable disease. The important thing here is that people with stroke symptoms should apply to our hospital very quickly. The earlier the intervention, the more treatment success,” he said.
