Research by German scientists revealed that exercise between 8 am and 6 pm reduces the risk of bowel cancer by 11 percent. So, does adapting the exercise time according to these hours benefit our health? Biruni University Hospital Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Specialist Assoc. Dr. Çiğdem Çınar answered the questions.
A new study published in the journal BMC Medicine revealed that exercise between 8 am and 6 pm reduces the risk of bowel cancer by 11 percent. According to the study led by Professor Dr. Michael Leitzmann from the University of Regensburg in Germany, the research, which was conducted on 86,252 people between the ages of 42 and 79, showed that those who exercised between 8 am and 6 pm had a lower risk of cancer than those who were active at other times. These findings emphasize the need for a wider study of the positive effects of exercise timing on health.
