With the increase in beauty centers in recent years, non-professional procedures are becoming widespread. Amateur procedures, which have many benefits for the skin in correct and regular use, bring some dangers. Aylin Muradova gave information about the difference between amateur procedures and professional procedures. Stating that citizens should not have skin care by beauticians who do not have a certificate and training, Muradova said, “Thanks to the skin care application, the skin is deeply cleaned. When done regularly, acne, blackheads and wrinkles are reduced. There are two applications, classical and hydrafacial. It is very important that skin care is done in a hygienic environment. Applications that are not performed in a clean environment or at home are amateur and carry some risks. The lack of certificates and training of the beautician means that the person is an amateur. Clients who go to beauty centers should pay attention to these certificates. The personal hygiene of the specialist and the quality of the products used are also among the factors to be considered. The beautician should use products suitable for the client's skin type and approved by the Ministry of Health.”

“Amateur and wrong applications can cause permanent damage”

Stating that some problems are encountered on the skin as a result of amateur applications, Muradova said, “The most common skin problems as a result of amateur applications; capillary (kuperoz) expansion, deterioration of the pH value of the skin, pore enlargement, stain and scar formation. Treatment of these problems may vary according to skin type and sensitivity. Amateur applications can also cause permanent damage. The risk of skin damage may be higher in incorrect or amateur applications. The risk increases even more in people with skin diseases, when the client's skin is not analyzed correctly and when products suitable for the skin type are not used.”
