Stating that cesarean section is not a normal birth option or alternative delivery method, and that cesarean section can be performed with the approval of a physician in cases where normal delivery would be risky for the mother and baby, Op. Dr. Erdal Bilen said, “Babies come into the world ready to breathe thanks to the pressure they are exposed to while passing through the birth canal. They have a stronger immune system. Conditions such as food allergies, asthma and bronchitis are less common. Gas pains are less common. Babies born with normal delivery have a low rate of intensive care unit admission. The happiness hormone endorphin is secreted in the baby during normal delivery. Endorphins and other hormones help the baby adapt to the world more easily and increase the length and quality of breastfeeding. After a normal delivery, skin-to-skin contact between mother and baby is immediate. The emotional bond between mother and baby is established in a shorter time. In skin-to-skin contact, the baby is comforted by the familiar sound of the mother's voice and heartbeat and feels safe. When lying on the mother's breast, the baby does not lose heat and is protected from infections. Babies born at normal birth find the breast easily and suck easily. Thus, breast milk comes in a short time. Babies who receive breast milk are resistant to many chronic diseases and childhood diseases.”
