Please go and have all the necessary checks done. We need to postpone it. I am very happy, I think I am healthy, I think I am energetic. May God heal our patients and not let anyone suffer. Health is very important and the screenings, tests and examinations are carried out free of charge in order to catch cancer in the early stages when its treatment can be much easier and more effective. Taking advantage of such services can save lives.”
“Today, one in every 8 women is at risk”
Provincial Health Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kayhan Özdemir said, “Today, one out of every 8 women is at risk. The World Health Organization has published a report on obesity in recent months. As Turkey, we are the first in Europe in obesity. For this, we should pay attention to regular exercise and regular nutrition. Obesity is the first risk factor in breast cancer as in many cancers. For this, exercise should be part of our daily habits. Even walking for at least half an hour a day reduces the risk of many cancers. It is possible to completely get rid of this cancer with early diagnosis and appropriate treatment. We welcome our citizens to our healthy life centers, family medicine units and district health directorates for free cancer screenings.”
