''Turkey's image suffers as complaints increase''
Pointing out that the wrong practices and the proliferation of under-the-stairs procedures for foreign health tourists in recent years have seriously damaged the image of the country, Alcı said, “Under-the-stairs health workers and unlicensed places in health tourism and simple video and visual advertisements that everyone can do on social media have increased the number of victims. While this caused the complaints of foreign health tourists to increase, it started to seriously damage the image of our country. On the other hand, due to the wrong procedures performed both in hair transplantation and in different branches, unfortunately, the news made by foaming in newspapers and televisions in foreign countries prevent the citizens of these countries from going to Turkey for these services.”
''Foreign countries attract Turkish personnel''
Referring to the fact that foreign countries attracted Turkish personnel to their own countries, Alcı said, “Seeing the increasing health demands after the pandemic, foreign countries started to integrate these works into their own countries by calling our personnel. Therefore, the price advantage disappeared and Europe became cheaper than us. Turkish healthcare personnel, who spread to Europe and indeed the whole world, not only cheapens the foreign countries, but also hinders the national income. When procedures are performed abroad, foreign currency inflow to our country decreases. Many agencies and clinics engaged in health tourism in Turkey are waiting for these problems to be resolved as soon as possible. Of course, there are many items that can be listed. The problems and suggestions for solving the problems have been forwarded to our ministries. We expect the relevant regulations in a short time. In addition, although the procedures have become cheaper abroad, quality procedures are still being performed in certain clinics in Turkey, and patients with complaints are also taken for correction procedures. Therefore, when it comes to quality, certain clinics in Turkey are still far ahead of Europe in both service and procedure quality.”

Songül Alcı listed the details that should be considered when choosing a clinic and continued her words as follows:
