'Under the stairs' aesthetic procedures increased in beauty centers, warning from the expert

Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Specialist Opr. Dr. Emre Kıymık stated that aesthetic procedures are performed illegally in beauty centers and that citizens have recently encountered various health problems, and said that 'sanctions' should be imposed on those who perform these procedures.

Stating that procedures such as filling, botox, youth vaccine, mesotherapy hair or eyebrow transplantation should be performed by plastic surgeons, dermatology specialists and people with medical aesthetic physician certificates issued by the ministry, Opr. Dr. Emre Kıymık said, “Recently, we see that some minimalist aesthetic procedures have been performed illegally in beauty centers in very serious numbers. This year, it is observed that these procedures have increased very seriously illegally. Accordingly, the number of people who encounter problems has increased a lot. The biggest reason for this is that there is no sanction for such illegal procedures called under the stairs. This is the point that bothers us the most. At this point, our citizens need to be much more sensitive. Citizens need to seek their rights after such an accident happens to them.”

Stating that it is not legal for beauty centers to perform such a procedure, Dr. Kıymık said, “Apart from these, it also causes a lot of permanent damage to your body. Our people should definitely have this procedure done by a specialist in the field. These are plastic surgeons, dermatology specialists and people with medical aesthetic physician certificates issued by the ministry. Apart from these 3 groups, our citizens should not have procedures such as filling, botox, youth vaccine, mesotherapy, as they are known among the public. Everyone should be sensitive about this issue. We also see that procedures are performed in beauty centers under the name of hair transplantation or eyebrow transplantation. These are definitely not legal procedures. Hair transplantation is a procedure that is medically described as surgery and should definitely be done in hospitals and polyclinic-style institutions, “he said.
